5 Ways to Put a Twist on your Valentine’s Day Date

Valentine’s Day weekend is upon us. With over 100 locally owned restaurants, we know you’ve already got dinner planned. But if you are in the mood for something a little different to celebrate this weekend, we’ve put together a few ideas for you.

  1. Strolling through the garden at the Biedenharn Museum & Gardens.
    Elsong Gardens, located behind the Biedenharn family home, is a beautiful walled English garden with winding paths, fountains, and an atrium. You can also enjoy a tour of the Coke Museum, Bible Museum, and family home.
    Open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.

  2. Wine tasting and tour at Landry Vineyards.
    Nestled in the rolling hills of West Monroe, Landry Vineyards is the perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon. You can sit on the deck and enjoy the view. You can also tour the vineyard, but you’ll need to call ahead to make a reservation.
    Open for tasting and tours on Saturday from 11 am to 5:30.

  3. Shopping challenge on Antique Alley.
    For a fun and memorable gift giving experience, try shopping for each other on Antique Alley for one of kind gifts. For added fun, decide on a spending limit and theme, or look for gifts from a certain decade.
    Most shops open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.

  4. A little competition Excalibur Family Fun Center.
    Add a little competition to the celebration with a spin around the go kart tract or a round of laser tag. You can also hit the batting cages or see who can rack up the most tickets at the arcade.
    Open Tuesday-Thursday from 2 pm to 9 pm; Friday from 12 pm to 11 pm; Saturday 10 am to 11 pm; and Sunday from 1 pm to 9 pm.

  5. Enoch’s Battle of the Bands
    Are you and your Valentine music fans? Then you’ll both love to check out local bands at Enoch’s on Saturday night. Come early and treat your date to one of their tasty burgers!
    Music starts at 6 pm; 18+ is allowed at the venue until the kitchen is closed. Then it’s 21+ only.
